  This is a really neat place. After driving through and seeing all of the animals, there's none of the self-loathing that comes from giving money to the zoo. Unlike the zoo, the animals here seem happy and healthy. Some caveats.... This place is far, far, far, far away! It say's Portland is 3 hours away - plan on 4. As a matter of fact, camping there is cheap - make it a weekend thing. The other issue is the price. When you stop and think about what it has to cost to run a place like that, it isn't too unreasonable. However after a 4 hour drive, you spend 2 dollars on post cards, 8 dollars on a guide book, and 20 dollars a person to get, you will wish you didn't come. (That's $50 for 2 people) . It was a good trip, just do yourself a favor and research it BEFORE you leave home.
